Tabi sets no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no cross-site profiling. That is why you are not being asked to click through a consent banner. Below is everything that is actually stored on your device.
tabi_session — a random guest session id, set when you scan a QR code at a table. It is what keeps your order attached to your table. HTTP-only, expires with the session. Strictly necessary; the menu cannot take an order without it.tabi-guest-theme — stored in your browser's local storage, not a cookie. It remembers whether you chose the light or dark menu. It never leaves your device. We use Vercel Speed Insights to see how fast pages load. It is cookieless and does not build a profile of you. We run no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and nothing comparable.
A venue can show a Google map on its homepage. That map is loaded from Google, and Google may set its own cookies when it loads — we do not control them and cannot read them. If that matters to you, the map only appears on a venue's homepage; the ordering menu itself does not load it.
Every browser can block or clear cookies. Blocking the two above will sign you out and stop the menu from taking an order — nothing else breaks.
Questions: hello@tabi.menu — what we do with the data behind these is in the Privacy Policy.
